Q: What does Illustration/Cutting/Rigging mean for a Vtuber?

'Illustration' (or 'Design') for a Vtuber means that you know what your model concept will look like and it has been put to paper as closely as you'd like it to appear on screen! (ie a character reference sheet)'Cutting' is the stage after 'Illustration', where the model needs to be re-drawn and broken up into (usually) hundreds of movable layers and properly labeled to allow for movement in Live2D.'Rigging' is adding the 'bones' and making all of these pieces move in Live2D so that the model can react to your face!

Q: What do I need to be a Live2d Vtuber?

You need a streaming software (OBS), a good computer, camera and a Vtubestudio compatible model.

Q: What programs do you use to make models?

I use Clip studio Paint (CSP) to design, cut and label the model pieces. I then put those files into Live2D Cubism to rig it into a model that moves!

Q: Why do computer specs matter for Vtubing?

Running a model, game and streaming software all at once can be very taxing on your system! Causing the model/stream/game to lag. A lovely model won't be able to run smoothly on an ill-equipped computer.I recommend 32G+ of ram and a good processor if you are using VTS & running graphics heavy games

Q: What has better tracking?

Currently running an IphoneX and more recent Iphones will allow for better tracking. Vbridger/Ifacialmocap allows for more complex mouth shapes and accurate tracking.

Q: What do you use for face capture?

I use an Iphone 12Pro with Ifacialmocap and Vbridger that connects to VTS.

Q: Why are your prices subject to change?

If a model's design is highly detailed with lots of moving accessories and detailed rotating pieces it will take more time to draw and rig.If a design is much simpler it will take less time to draw/rig and prices will be adjusted accordingly.
